As a keen photographer I sometimes wonder what effect using Artificial Intelligence software will have on my hobby. So far it has been a big plus, helping with camera autofocus, post-processing software and more. Perhaps if I were a professional photographer I might see it as a threat. Or if I entered photographic competitions seriously and got uptight about others "cheating" with AI, which I fully understand.
On the other hand I came across the free Microsoft image generator and found it really great fun just typing in a few words and seeing what cropped up. This image was made by the software in about 2 minutes. No, it's not photography. Yes, it uses other people's images and so raises issues of copyright, plagiarism, cheating... But it was fun, so just take it for what it is. It's not going to go away....
